Morristown is a rural town of more than 5,000 people (5,434 according to the 2020 census) located in the center of Lamoille County and serves as the region's center for commerce, services and industries. It is situated in a valley along the winding Lamoille River and is nestled among the Green Mountain and Worcester mountain ranges. The famous Long Trail traverses the mountain ranges located here. Morristown is located 45 miles northeast of Burlington, Vermont’s largest city, and 30 miles northwest of Montpelier, the State Capitol.
