Make It a Full Day!

Spend the day exploring downtown Morrisville, enjoying local food, community traditions, live music, and a spectacular fireworks display as we celebrate America's 250th anniversary.

As part of the nationwide celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, Morristown’s 2026 Fourth of July events will honor our shared history, celebrate the present, and look ahead to the future. Planning is underway, and the Town hopes to introduce several new elements to enhance the celebration, pending confirmation.

2026 Theme: Then. Now. Next.

This year’s theme reflects Morristown’s past, present, and future and will be featured throughout the parade. Parade awards will be given in three categories:

Then: Founding era, early settlement, agriculture
Now: Present-day Lamoille Valley communities
Next: Youth groups, future visions, sustainability

Parade participants are encouraged to design floats, displays, and performances inspired by one of these themes.
