The Town Clerk's staff are all notary publics and we will notarize your documents during our office hours free of charge.
Please bring adequate identification for every person signing the document. Notary Services will not be provided to anyone we do not know personally without picture identification.
The role of the Notary is to witness parties signing a document to ensure they are aware of the content, and are doing this action of their own free will.
DO NOT SIGN YOUR DOCUMENT UNTIL INSTRUCTED SO BY THE NOTARY PUBLIC!!
The Town Clerk's staff cannot perform document verification or issues Apostille and authentication certificates. For these service, please contact the Vermont Secretary of State's Office.
