Community Gardens

Morristown Community Gardens have been at Oxbow Park for more than 30 years. They started out as plots where each gardener worked their land in the assigned area. The garden has grown over the years and is now about ¾ acre with many spots, some are tilled, some no-till as well as some raised beds. Early in the season the gardeners work together mapping out the plots, laying out the water lines and getting the area ready for planting.

First time users of the Morristown Community Garden are only allowed a 15 x15 plot unless other arrangements are made with the Garden Steward, Mason  morrisvillecommunitygarden [at] gmail.com

The fees are: Raised Box: - $20.00; Garden Plot:  15’x15’ - $25.00; 15’x30’ - $35.00; 30’x30’ - $50.00

This fee includes beginning of the season tilling and a communal compost pile and water. There is a community garden shed that includes tools and supplies. You are responsible for keeping your garden space fairly weed free.

Please book your space online and pay via debit or credit card or make checks payable to: Town of Morristown, PO Box 748, Morrisville, VT 05661 and put your completed application and payment in the drop box outside the town offices or deliver to the town clerk’s office.
